2024 PIDS Election: Call for Nominations
The PIDS Nominations and Awards Committee is seeking candidates to serve in several positions: Board Members (2 vacancies) and Members of the Nominations and Awards Committee (2 vacancies) of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society.
 
You are invited to nominate yourself or one of your colleagues to lead PIDS into the future.


The deadline to submit nominations is Monday, May 13th. 


Please be prepared to submit the following documentation with your nomination to be used if the nominee is selected for the ballot:

(1) Brief biographical sketch or curriculum vitae
(2) Statement outlining why you/nominee want to serve in the position, prior participation in PIDS activities, and any past or ongoing efforts to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion at respective institution, peds ID community or in the Society

Nominee Information

Board of Directors Member-at-Large (4 Year Term)

A Member-at-Large attends Board meetings (occurring via conference calls and two in-person meetings held in conjunction with the St. Jude/PIDS Pediatric Infectious Diseases Research Conference and IDWeek); participates in long-range and strategic planning for the Society; participates in ad hoc conference calls and votes; serves as Board liaison to at least one committee. All board members also serve as Trustees for the PIDS Foundation.

Nominations and Awards Committee (2 Year Term)

A committee member participates in conference calls throughout the year to select a slate for that year’s officers, Nominations and Awards Committee, and awards; participates in invigorating the process of recognition of colleagues; and helps write biographical sketches of awardees for announcement and publication.
