2025 Walter T. Hughes Distinguished Physician Award Nomination

Executive Summary
The Hughes Award is presented annually to a PIDS member with a distinguished career marked by substantial contributions as a clinician, educator, or investigator. Nomination packets are due May 16th, 2025, at 5pm ET. Following a review of nominees by the PIDS Nominations and Awards Committee and the PIDS Board of Directors, an awardee will be selected and announced during IDWeek.

Eligibility
Any member of PIDS is eligible for the award; successful nominees are likely to be at the level of Professor or equivalent level in non-academic positions. Any PIDS member may serve as the primary nominator. Individuals may be nominated again if not selected for the award. A list of previous awardees can be found on the PIDS website.
