meetID 2024 Application

The meetID program provides a broad overview of pediatric infectious diseases (PID), career exploration in PID, support and resources needed to excel in science and medicine, and an opportunity to network with other trainees, faculty, and PIDS leadership. Additionally, trainees will have an opportunity to re-engage virtually throughout the year with various PID leaders, who will serve as mentors that can provide career guidance and support.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis for each intended meeting. Materials and deadlines can be found below.

Application Material

  • Cover letter describing interest in the program (should include name, current stage of training, rationale for applying for the program, and current career aspirations and information that illustrates how the candidate would increase the diversity of the program is encouraged)
  • Curriculum vitae 

The submission deadlines to submit cover letter and CV are December 18, 2023 for St. Jude/PIDS and PAS conferences and July 15, 2024 for IDWeek.This year, we have combined the St. Jude and PAS meeting applications, as the PAS event is scheduled to take place in Toronto, Canada. This decision ensures that participants have ample time to prepare travel documentation and make necessary arrangements.

Applicants should upload a combined PDF that includes their cover letter and CV using this submission portal.

Applicant Information

American Indian or Alaska Native. A person having origins in any of the original peoples of North and South America (including Central America), and who maintains tribal affiliation or community attachment.
Asian. A person having origins in any of the original peoples of the Far East, Southeast Asia, or the Indian subcontinent including, for example, Cambodia, China, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippine Islands, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Black or African American. A person having origins in any of the black racial groups of Africa.
Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander. A person having origins in any of the original peoples of Hawaii, Guam, Samoa, or other Pacific Islands.
White. A person having origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, the Middle East, or North Africa.
